cky: A bunch of gorse at Beachlands (Default)

My last post (from 3 years ago, hah) was about this journal, and my overall sadness that I still hadn't written any new poetry (until now). To put my poetry into context, I should mention a few things about myself:

  • I'm an INFP, and a generally sentimental person.
  • I'm bisexual (or, more accurately, pansexual). I've been out for a very long time, certainly covering the entire span of my poetry-writing.
  • I don't really identify with a gender.
    • I don't consciously try to follow any gender roles, and if I become aware that I'm unconsciously doing so, I try to release it.
    • Most people see (and interact with) me as male, although there are occasional exceptions.
    • I generally use singular they or sie/hir to refer to myself in the third person. You can use whatever pronoun you prefer.
  • I'm married to Tiara since 2006.
    • We met each other online in 2005, on an INFP mailing list.
      • She's actually an INFJ, just mistyped as INFP for a long time.
    • I wrote her a bunch of poetry during our first few months of acquaintance. I don't commonly find people who love my writings, so I love that she does.
    • We have many differences (and some are really major), but we don't let them overcome us or our relationship.
    • Although the first few years of our relationship were quite rocky, after 9 years (as of current writing) I still love her very much, and it gets better every year. <3
  • I'm a New Zealander. I've lived in New Zealand between 1988 and 2008.
    • We moved to the US in 2009, and as of current writing, haven't been back since.
    • I miss home a lot. I sometimes feel like the absence has diminished my creative energy a great deal.

Feel free to use this thread to ask anything about what you'd like to know about me, as it pertains to my poetry.
